ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The Rockford Park District Spring/Summer 2013 Youth and Adult Program Guide is available free of charge online at http://www.rockfordparkdistrict.org/guides. (Program Guide Books section) and at Park District facilities and Customer Service locations. Registration is now open for most offerings featured in the Guide.
The 104-page Guide contains information on activities and programs for all ages April-September, 2013, and includes summer camps (Park District and affiliated museums) and playground programs, environmental recreation and education, lesson programs for golf, swimming, tennis, track and field, horseback riding, figure skating, and hockey, as well as a variety of other outdoor and indoor recreation and sport activities, clinics, camps, and leagues for youth and/or adult volleyball, golf, soccer, adult softball/baseball, NFL Flag Football, NFL Cheer, and more. Offerings for environmental education/recreation, fishing, Ultimate Frisbee?, and Nicholas Conservatory tai chi and yoga classes and tropical topics workshops are also included.
New offerings featured in the Guide include:- skatepark clinic, skatepark camp, Bearings & Bruises (skateboard, rollerblade, and bike competition), Nicholas Conservatory?s Wild Wednesdays and Sinnissippi Safari, Challenger British Soccer Camp, and free one-session adult athletics for Cardio Tennis, Adult Running, and Pickleball.
Information on inclusion services for participants with disabilities is detailed in the Guide, as well as information on the Park District's automated installment payment plan and Fun For All Kids fee assistance program.
