So, I was posted at my pc one day, about 6 months or so into putting together my internet business. Like a good boy I was doing my backlinking, my SEO tasks, and posting another niche website. I believe it was my 17th or 18th website. I had it going on! I had websites on dog training, bed wetting, dieting, muscle building, ADHD, irritable bowel syndrome and on and on.
I was just getting to inserting my affiliate links in the Clickbank products and then it hit me ? what for? How did I reckon the new site would bring me money? In as much as, at that moment (I believe it might have been the initial time I literally stopped and thought for a second) I came to the conclusion that none of the other 17 had brought me any money! So why would I assume this one would? I also realized that I thought the same thing about #16, #15, #14, and so on.
As if that wasn?t upsetting enough, it also dawned on me that I hadn?t finished any of my SEO tasks on the first 10 websites in a month. They were presently languishing in as much as I was too hectic moving on to the next awesome thing.
Therefore, needless to say, I wasn?t enjoying a pleasant night!
As a rule, I?m a very motivated person and have been a businessperson for over 25 years and have repeatedly been, generally, successful at anything I put my mind to. So why is this not bringing in money?
When I stepped back and sincerely disected what I had been doing I quickly discovered that I was not directing all that business acumen to work! I was distressed from a common internet marketing ailment ? INFORMATION OVERLOAD! I confused activity for productivity! Just because you?re working on something doesn?t mean you?re doing the correct thing.
So I made the decision, in essence, to start from scratch. To sit down and sketch out a plan. I would draw up, dare I say it, a business plan!
I noticed that profitable Internet Marketer are very particular people with some definitive habits that help them thrive. Most internet marketers fail because they do not embrace these basic traits:
Determination- Be determined to succeed, with a fervent firmness to do what it takes. Don?t be easily dismayed.
Self-Motivation ? Be self-motivated. Get out of bed and get to work even when there is no manager waiting at ?the office? for you to clock in.
Focus ? Avoid the ?Shiny Object Syndrome?. Do not continue buying new products prior to putting the ones you formerly aquired into your mix.
Organization ? Get organized. Finalize one project before initiating another one. Set a list of tasks and motivate yourself to continue on that program as much as possible.
Do not assume you understand it all! ? This might be the most significant trait. Profitable Internet Marketers have an extraordinary willingness to constantly gather information and be trained so that they can prosper in their business.
I dropped almost all of my sites and started honing in on just a couple of things and now I?m generating my living online! It?s not as difficult as you assume. It just takes discipline. You as well can become a prosperous Internet Marketer by learning and utilizing these basic principles.
